What Exactly Is The Cisco Career Certification?

There are IT products that are Cisco products and anyone who works these products needs to have a certification that shows that they are proficient in the workings of the products. The Cisco Career Certification is for IT professionals and there are five levels to this certification which includes the Entry level, the Associate level, the Professional level, the Expert level, and the Specialist level.

The first Cisco Career Certification is the CCENT which means Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician. The people that have this entry level certification cannot get involved in the more advance security levels of the systems, but they have the skill and knowledge in order to install, manage, and also maintain and enterprise network that is on the small side and they are capable of troubleshooting the network security of that network. This certification will build this person up to be able to achieve the next level of certification which include the CCNA which is the Cisco Certified Network Associate and the CCDA which is the Cisco Certified Design Associate.

The second Cisco Career Certification which is the associate level include the CCNA, CCDA, CCNA Security, CCNA Voice, and the CCNA Wireless certifications. These certifications deal with the implementing of Cisco IOS Network Security, Cisco IOS Unified Communications, and the Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials.

The Third Cisco Career Certification which is the professional level include the CCNP, the CCDP, the CCIP, the CCSP, and the CCVP. These certifications involve the professional aspects of the security software developer and the advance security products that is offered by Cisco.

The fourth Cisco Career Certification which is the expert level includes the certification for the CCIE which is the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert and has to deal with five active tracks within the product which include the Cisco routing and switching, security, numbering and re-certification, service provider and voice. There is also the storage networking within the programs that these certifications are proficient in.

The fifth and last Cisco Career Certification which is the specialist level are the upgraded certifications that the expert certification must take in order to keep up with the growing technology and these include advanced routing and switching, data center specialization, foundation for channel partners, unified communications, security, and wireless LAN.

There are many retired Cisco Career Certification requirements that are retired because of the movement of technology. These certifications no longer have valid information that a person could use in order to have that certification and this makes them obsolete so they have been retired by the Cisco products and new certifications are created withing the five levels of certifications in order to keep all of the people with certifications up-to-date.
